Otoño (Fall Roast) | Wholesale
“Otoño” (which translates to ‘fall’ in Spanish) is a limited seasonal roast crafted to keep you warm & caffeinated all fall season—whether that be in the crisp morning air, mid-afternoon breeze, or chilly cold evening. We wanted to offer you a coffee that you can enjoy while you’re curled up with a blanket and a good book. As the kids say, “it’s giving french press and campfire.”
You’ll find that this roast is a bit darker than usual and more developed to increase the body and mouthfeel. The tasting notes lend to more baked nuts and fruit with undertones of baking spices.
This is a pre-blend roast meaning we mix the green bean together prior to roasting. As the coffee is from the same altitude and farm, they roast at a relatively consistent degree. Pre-roasting Otoño seems to round out the flavors, making them more harmonious. The alternative would be to roast all 3 components separately before blending, but we feel that would lead to certain flavors standing out too much and potentially overshadowing others.
