The Black Diamond Distance Carbon FLZ boasts top-notch construction, adjustability, and portability. Built for running and trekking, this versatile pole is made entirely of carbon and features the convenient FlickLock® Pro system for easy adjustments. Its lightweight Distance strap is breathable and sweat-resistant, while the ultra-light EVA grip provides comfort and stability. The non-scarring rubber Tech Tips complete this light and detail-oriented masterpiece of pole technology.
Key features include the FlickLock®. The most secure pole-adjustment Forged aluminium construction mechanism available, FlickLock® Pro features forged aluminium construction and a low-profile design for ultimate clamping force when you need it most. They come with Interchangeable Carbide and Rubber Tech tips for any terrain. The Z-Pole Rapid Deployment technology is taken from Black Diamond’s expertise in avalanche probe design—a key component of Z-Poles’ stiffness and fast deployment.

How to Measure: On flat ground, the top of the trekking pole handle should be at waist or hip level and your elbow at approximately 90 degrees. For walking, hiking and backpacking: Stability and support matter most. Size up if you’re right on a size cusp. For running: Uphill propulsion matters most. Size down if you’re right on the size cusp.
