Mammut Smart HMS 2.0
The Mammut Smart HMS 2.0 is an improvement over the previous model being stronger and lighter. Don’t worry it is the same belay carabiner designed with a nifty safety gate to prevent accidental cross-loading.
The Smart HMS is all about safety and easy handling. Accidental opening and cross loading is prevented by the restricted use of the biner. It can only be unlocked and opened when the safety gate itself is open. This belay carabiner has been designed for optimal use with Mammut’s Smart 2.0 belay device, but it will work well with any belay device.Â
