Petzl Basic
The Petzl Basic is a light and compact, multi-purpose ascender that can be used for a variety of rope ascents.
Offering excellent grip and working on single ropes from 8-11mm, the Petzl Basic is often carried by climbers and mountaineers for emergency use. Small and light it’s a great versatile choice for rescue and hauling situations where a full handled ascender might be overkill.

- Toothed cam with self-cleaning slot optimises performance under any conditions (e.g. frozen or dirty ropes)
- Stainless steel cam has better resistance to corrosion
- Lower attachment hole large enough for two carabiners (lanyard and foot loop)
- Upper connection hole for guiding the rope
